One thing all our students have in common is that they get stressed! Yes just like us students get stressed from academic and social aspects in their life. I would like to take transition times during the day and turn it into 5-10min of mindful breathing and meditation. This will help the students reduce and manage their stress as well as get them ready to learn. This will also be an important transition before high stakes testing. In a scientific study it was found that after doing mindful breathing " results suggest that the focused breathing exercise helps to improve participants’ ability to regulate their emotions". Not only will mindful breathing help their stress it will also help our adolescents regulate their many heightened emotions with new premium yoga mats.
