Help! Technology is all around us and this portable interactive Now!Board will prepare my students for the future when they have this technology in their classroom.
My class is made up of 17 very energetic first graders.
They come from a variety of backgrounds. My school is considered a low income public school. There are 9 boys and 6 girls in the classroom. I am one of two inclusion first grade teachers, so I have a small population of Special Education students, as well as, a group of General Education students. Several of these students are ELL students who speak more than one language.
It is not only my students who will benefit from the Now!Board.
Since it is portable, we can take it with us into other first grade classrooms to share our work. This will enable more students than just mine to reap the benefits of your generous donations.
My Project
With the addition of the Now!Board, a portable interactive whiteboard, to the classroom, the students will be able to practice many different skills across all content areas. The students will be able to connect their learning with technology. It will become an integral part of their daily learning. As a Daily 5 classroom, the students will use this technology together in small groups, as well as, with me as I guide them through their lessons. The students will think they are just "playing" while they are really enhancing their learning.
