This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My sweet students are learning English as a second language and I work with them in small groups daily. These boys and girls have to work extra hard in school, as they are learning a second language along with academics.

My students are hungry to learn and appreciate their education.

Everyday is a joy as I watching them blossom. I love seeing the "light bulb" go off when they made an accomplishment...their eyes light up and they show their snaggletooth grins.

My Project

The Kindle Fire 8 tablets would enable my students to have access to a wonderful computer program designed to meet individual learning language needs and to have access to the internet.

Currently, there is no funding at our public school to obtain any additional technology devices for my ESL students.

As of now, our entire school shares a very limited number of computers.

My students and I would appreciate any financial assistance.
