Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My amazing students come from homes where access to technology is not always available.
My students attend a low income, inner city school.
My students are vibrant and exciting and are curious about the world. They also face many challenges at home and in their communities. My students are the future of their community and they deserve the best we can offer.
My Project
My students love to use technology! These students are experts with anything related to computers or the Internet. I would love to bring a document camera into my classroom to make class more engaging for students. With a document camera, I can model reading strategies and students can follow along by looking at a screen as I highlight or make notes on my copy of the text. I would also like to bring a color printer, 2 ink cartridges, and 1 USB cable into the class so I can print out educational photos and display them through the camera. I would also use the color printer to print out student work and even print pictures of our class activities to send home to families.
I think bringing more technology into the classroom is important because for many of my students, school is they only place they have the access.
The world is quickly changing and technology is becoming more and more important. Please make sure my students are not left behind.
