Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every year my students challenge me to work harder, and so I must also do the same for them. I teach students that are very inquisitive and want to know about everything. They are bright and enjoy learning through discovering. They want to know the "whys" of things, not just the hows.

“Children need the freedom to appreciate the infinite resources of their hands, their eyes and their ears, the resources of forms, sounds, materials, and colours.” Loris Malaguzzi

All of my students come from families that work very hard to overcome economic obstacles. These families are immigrants and lack the language. Most students in our school are on free or reduce lunch. Although many of these families lack financial resources, they are willing and determined to help their children reach their full potential

My Project

The laptop computers will help the students complete their computer programs at school. Many of our students do not have access to computers at home, so they must rely on the availability of computers in the classroom.

We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world.

David Warlick

The use of these programs helps our students meet their individual goals in school. The laptop would allow for students to work on what they need to improve in order to be successful in school.

The cardstock and glue would help the students express themselves creatively in the classroom.
