My students need iPads, protective cases, and robots to open up a whole new world of engagement, personalized learning, and collaboration in the classroom.
Our school is located in a rural high poverty area of the county. The students come from diverse backgrounds and many have experienced more in their short lives than any human being (young or old) should have to encounter.
Many of my students have challenging circumstances but they do not let that stop them in trying to reach their goals each and every day.
Building a sense of community and normalcy by providing students with an idea of a future beyond their current living situation is our main priority. We want to open students eyes to the big world around them and show them how they can be successful in it.
My Project
My students need iPads, iPad cases, and 3 Dash Wonder Workshop robots. Having iPads in the classroom will extend learning beyond the classroom, improve collaboration, engage students, enhance personalized learning, and prepare students for future careers.
Classroom technology like iPads and robots are vital in getting students involved with learning in the world they exist.
The robots can be incorporated into every day lessons and subjects. This project would complete my goal of having 6 robots in my classroom and make it easier to use more frequently.
Wonder Workshop robots put the power of play into the students hands so they can dream up new adventures while learning to code. Each discovery leads to another and will take satisfaction in their confidence so that we can make a lasting contribution to their future.
