This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a typical room where students who are two or more years behind academically in reading and writing. I provide special education students instruction in reading and math and implement grade level standards to close their academic gaps. My students are special education English Second Language Learners.

My school is Title I and in Arizona, where teacher salaries are the lowest in the United States, I would appreciate your donation.

My Project

The use of laptop computers would provide my special education students opportunities to increase learning by using technology. My special education students live in a poverty community in Phoenix, AZ where 100% receive free breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. Unfortunately, my 3rd-6th grade students have reading, writing, and communication learning disabilities are also English Language Learners whom don't have technology at home.

Funding my project, "Technology for Special Ed Classroom," will provide bridging reading and writing instruction from books, paper, and pencil to interactive computer programs that incorporates skill, practice along with exposure to technology.

My project will also provide opportunities for students to learn how to manipulate keyboard's keys and functions in order to communicate via computer devices. By funding my project, you'll provide a clean, comfortable place for kids to practice and enjoy reading and learning. Thank you for considering helping my incredible students.
