Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work in low-income, urban setting. Many of our students do not have the resources needed. As a special education teacher, I am always looking for ways to support all my students who are fully included in the general education classroom. My high school students are eager to explore new things. They are hard-working and dedicated to their education.

My Project

This item will be used to show videos for reteach and allow for reinforcing activities to drive home the concepts we are covering. For instance, in Physics we use gizmos which are simulations to show different theories. Some of the students do not have the technology available daily to follow along.

Working with both general education students and students who have IEP's, this allows me to differentiate the work.

Having such a wide range of ability levels this could be used for stations within the classroom. This will also benefit students who are working on IEP goals and tracking progress at the same time.
