My Students

Technology is a driving force in engaging students, especially in this decade. Children live and breathe technology. No wonder they are not interested in a lesson on the whiteboard or taking daily notes. When my students are disengaged, they do not learn.

My first graders attend a public elementary Title I school in Southern California.

They are in a dual-immersion program where half the day they are learning to read, write and speak Mandarin. I teach 45 students in my dual immersion Mandarin classroom where English speakers are immersed in the Mandarin language while learning their California standards-based curriculum.

My Project

A projector will greatly increase engagement in my classroom. With a projector, I will be able to save time which is very import in this dual language program. I will be able to create more organized and interesting daily lessons for my students. It will keep me from having my back to the students while writing on the whiteboard while allowing me to bring things to life in the classroom.

A projector in the classroom would open up endless possibilities for my students.

It would be a great resource and make it easier for my students to see lessons projected from my laptop. Any donations you are able to give are greatly appreciated.
