We use the new resources daily during small-group learning and community time. Students practice speaking Spanish through conversation games like TableTopics en Español, Snakes & Ladders, and Lotería, which have helped them build confidence and take risks with the language in a fun, low-pressure way. We also gather on our new rug to read together—students especially loved the Quijote y Yo series—and to play Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, which has brought lots of laughter and helped strengthen our classroom community.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. They cheered when the rug was rolled out and eagerly asked when we could start using the games and books. Many students couldn't wait to explore the Spanish books and proudly shared their favorite stories with classmates. The rug instantly became a favorite spot, tying our room together and creating a cozy space where students feel comfortable speaking, reading, and connecting with one another.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue building their Spanish-speaking skills through structured conversations, collaborative games, and book discussions on the rug. We are working toward longer, more confident oral responses and deeper comprehension during reading groups.
