My Students

I teach students in an engineering program programs at a tech academy in Las Vegas. The students strive to do their best. My students range from 10th to 12th grades. They are very technology oriented. They use several different drafting programs, google classroom and all parts of the google education suite including google docs, sheets, slides and drawings.

These students are hard working and dedicated.

They are excited to learn! The students are involved in a program that helps them prepare for college as engineering and architecture students. They come from diverse backgrounds, but are learning to work together collaboratively on a daily basis. We use group and collaboration on a daily basis!

My Project

My classroom is set up for collaboration. We have minimal white board space and use projection on 2 televisions to provide notes for engineering students. Currently I have to just provide power points and include examples. It is helpful to be able to give them real time examples, however the space and technology I have does not provide for this.

This tablet will provide a method to present notes directly to students.

I will be able to write the notes on the Surface and it will project directly. I can also give the tablet to a student and let them show the problem as well. This will be a game changer in my classroom.
