My Students
My students are creative and have a positive look on life. They do their best despite their harsh situations and the troubles they face at home. The school is situated in a poor neighborhood and most of my students are on free or reduced lunch, some are even homeless.
My students are great learners: they are enthusiastic about learning French and are always excited to explore the world.
They have the potential of greatness and I intend to provide them all with a successful rich experience of learning.
My Project
Having the tablets will reinforce and assist in the instruction through podcasts, video and multimedia. It would promote using higher order thinking skills and foster collaboration between students as they work together on projects.
Students will take advantage of having tablets to access real-life material in the target language which facilitates their learning and connection to the target culture.
They will be able to easily combine authentic materials with the interactive multimedia, for example, online magazines with pictures, text, and music clips, web sites devoted to diverse aspects of foreign cultures, and discussion forums. It would increase responsibility, independence and a sense of accomplishment.
