Our school is a Title I school in Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. As a teacher, I noticed that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with an exciting, meaningful learning experience.
My kindergarten students are energetic and curious kiddos and are looking forward to a great school year.
Eighty-six percent of my students are second language learners and have never been in school before.
Technology plays such an important role in education these days, but unfortunately for my students access is limited. This Chromebook will allow my students daily access to the tech needed to practice typing on the keyboard, watch tutorial videos, and most importantly, it will allow them to engage in interactive lessons. By providing fun and engaging lessons, the students will deepen their understanding of the content being taught and are more likely to retain the information. It will also allow my ESL students the opportunity to complete a program that will ultimately help them learn the language and communication skills necessary to succeed in school.
