My students always come to school eager to learn and with a smile on their faces. I am an Arabic Bilingual/ESL teacher in an urban community. Most of my students are immigrants from war-torn countries and live in very low-income households. Many do not have the necessary resources they need in order to learn. We work diligently in our classroom to help the students overcome any obstacles that they may face, whether academic, emotional, or socioeconomic. My students are very determined to do well and work very hard, despite the initial language barrier.
My Project
Technology is a part of our everyday lives. The integration of technology into our curriculum can improve teaching and learning in great ways while creating many amazing opportunities. The tablets will also be helpful to be prepared for an emergency situation such as the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Providing my students with tablets will improve classroom engagement, knowledge retention, and encourage individual and collaborative learning.
The tablets will be used to enrich student learning as they will be able to access many of the online learning programs we use such as RazKids, SuccessMaker, Google Classroom, etc.
