My Students

I have a wonderful group of 30 students who are working hard to develop their skills in multiple subjects including reading, writing, math and science!

I work with 30 beautiful, bright and energetic students.

They are hardworking and diligent kids. My class consists of 6 languages other than English. I have two students who have been in this country less than a year. Due to the high number of students living below the poverty line, students in my classroom access many community resources such as the SUN program and backpack buddies (a food donation program). Students in my classroom are always looking for a safe and welcoming environment. A place where they can continue to develop friendships and bond with those around them while also learning about different paths they may choose for future endeavors. They are also looking for ways to take their love for learning about STEM home to share with their families. I work with an amazing group of students and an amazing group educators, who are dedicated to their kids and their community.

My Project

My students will be able to access the Fire Tablets in a number of ways! My students who speak a foreign language will be able to access a variety of applications and resources to help them learn English. All students will have access to books online, and a vast amount of math fluency websites and programs such as Epic, IXL and DuoLingo. Also, during our Math Workshop this will allow all students access to the website Zearn which works with our curriculum to give all students additional practice of Math Skills. My students love any opportunity to access technology. It helps to keep students actively engaged on the topic they are studying.
