This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a teacher in a self contained classroom for students with autism. Technology allows my students to engage with concepts they have difficulties understanding in other formats. It also allows them the opportunity to increase their ability to independently work on academics tasks.

Amazon Fire Tablets are an interactive means to practice fine motor such as tracing and sorting skills that are more enjoyable for my students to follow.

Additionally, math, reading and science activities are more interactive allowing my students to enhance their abilities while achieving new goals. Several apps are now available that will allow my students the chance to communicate effectively and independently as well.
