Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Technology is the wave of the future. My students would benefit from the tablet because it is an interactive tool that would keep them focused and motivated to learn. This tablet would be a revolutionary tool in my classroom. My students would be more involved!!
I work in a Title I school.
The kids come from broken families. Some live with aunts or grandparents. Their relatives are raising them because parents are not in the picture. I have RSP and low EL learners. They need more interactive tools. They need to be motivated and have fun while learning. The tablet is a hands-on tool that would motivate my students to want to learn. These kids come to school because parents tell them to. I need them to feel motivated about coming to school.
My Project
I know that if I were to include the tablet in my lessons, students would be more willing to pay attention and want to learn. The interactive games would help the EL and RSP students. The storybooks online would help students that are struggling in reading. Also, in math, there are many websites that have interactive activities that students can do. In writing, it would help them put their ideas into a word document.
I know that technology is the wave of the future.
If I don't expose my students to the latest in technology, they will continue to struggle. The tablet is the latest thing in technology and I know that these student's parents don't have the means to purchase a tablet. I would provide them a tool that would engage them and to expand their horizons.
