This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The choice of technology, whether for the rich or the poor, is probably the most important decision to be made." -George McRobie. I choose to provide all my students with the technology to be competitive in the future.

I teach a group of 5th graders eager to learn with an endless amount of learning potential.

We are an inner city school in northern California, that lacks the proper amount of computers and technology to serve our children. Our school is a community of diverse cultures and economic backgrounds learning and respecting each other.

My Project

The multimedia projector will allow the students to learn from and even create PowerPoint presentations. More importantly it provides me with a tool to add variety to our learning day, in order to reach more children. It is also a great opportunity to supplement the lack of computers and computer teacher. I will be able to teach them how to use the Internet as a research tool, which is valuable for their futures. We have access to 3 computers for 25 students. With the projector all 25 students will be able to learn from a single computer.

As a young teacher I value the need for technology in the classroom.

In a world were we depend more and more on technology,I will not let any student leave the classroom with the technological resources to be successful in the future.
