There is much diversity inside my classroom, but also between individual students. They all have different attitudes and personality traits. Eighteen out of my twenty two students are reading below level.
Each student has amazing abilities and qualities, which makes the classroom so diverse and unique.
Even though each student comes from very low economic background and has different personalities, each student is motivated in their own way.
It is a Title I School with 89% of the student families being economically disadvantaged.
This project creates more rigorous instruction, promotes critical thinking skills, and incorporates writing across the curriculum, requiring students to cite evidence from the text.
The Lenovo ThinkPad will be used for online instruction on I-Ready and to provide exposure to rigorous questioning and higher order thinking questions.
In addition, it will provide consistent, data driven differentiated instruction that targets the needs of each student and provide students with multiple opportunities to utilize technology in the classroom.
I will be able to differentiate instruction and incorporate technology to attend to the unique needs and learning styles of students, and encourage collaborative learning groups to promote student engagement and accountable talk.
This will make a difference in that key skills are continuously built upon as students progress.
