Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Language Coach, I work with classrooms that include Emergent Bilinguals, providing targeted support to help them thrive academically. In one of my RSP (Resource Specialist Program) classrooms, Chromebooks are utilized almost daily as part of the students' learning process. These devices offer students an opportunity to practice and strengthen their language and reading skills within their small group settings, ensuring they can engage more effectively as active members of the larger classroom environment.
The programs accessed through the Chromebooks and headphones are designed to support our English learners by frontloading them with key content knowledge, which serves as a bridge to help them connect with the grade-level curriculum.
This technology integration not only enhances their language proficiency but also ensures they have the foundational skills to succeed in their academic journey.
