Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My campus is a 98% low income and Hispanic campus with students who get very little. My students value experiences and look to school as a place to find love and make beneficial adult connections. My students will aim to please and work hard even if they struggle with the language and content.
What I love about my students is their eagerness to learn and their passion for technology!!
They come to school everyday, despite their struggles, and give 100% effort in my class. These kids are the reason I love what I do. I need them, just as much as they need me!
My Project
I have requested an Apple TV for several reasons. One important use of the Apple TV will be for an Interactive Whiteboard experience. Students will also be able to collaborate with a team on topics and then share their ideas. thoughts, examples on the Apple TV for the class to see.
Having an Apple TV and a rolling table in my classroom will allow for me to available to all students at all times!
As of right now, when we take notes and practice, I am stuck at the front of the room because that is where the projector is. The rolling table will allow me to remain centered in the class for a longer period of time. The Apple TV will allow me to use my iPad on the rolling table to teach from. This means I will never be stuck in one place. Always moving, always watching, always there to support!
