Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine a class of twenty-four students, crowded around a desktop computer while their teacher demonstrates a lesson.

My students come from a wide range of experience with use of technology.

While few of them have a computer at home, others can only experience working with computers and/or Internet in the classroom. We are a school that is limited with our supplies.

My Project

At this time, my class of twenty-four students share three desktop computers that are approximately six years old. We occasionally still use an older Windows '98 version as well. While we greatly appreciate everything we have, with a Motorola XOOM Tablet, we can use our document reader to explore new learning tools that will greatly enhance our daily lessons.

My students need to be exposed to a wide variety of learning tools.

I am hoping to introduce them to some of the latest technology that is available. With your help in donating towards our Motorola XOOM Tablet and accessories, my students will be able to enjoy this item through active participation.
