This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will need a new Laptop soon because my old one is slowing down and having too many issues. I need more memory space for all the lessons and activities that we are doing in my math class.

I connect the laptop to the promethean white board and the students use it all day long.

We have adopted a new math book and it is all project based. Therefore, we need a lot more visuals and steps are being shown to the students with the laptop, so that they can complete their activities. We tend to watch videos that also help guide them through their lesson and activities with online notes that are projected from the laptop to the board. With a new laptop we will have less issues and the tech-top (laptop), will provide better quality - technology for us. Many times we have to stop and re-boot the device, which takes time out of our 55 minutes class instructions. Therefore, with new and updated device we can move faster and have better visuals. This way we do not waste time. Some of the benefits of using laptops in the classroom include: Fostering online collaboration with other students. Providing curriculum support and additional information to students. Promoting better organization and note-taking skills as the information and notes are shared visually for the students.
