My Students

I teach 100 7th and 8th graders who come to school excited to learn and grow daily. They love to learn from hands-on activities and take learning to new levels. I am also a boys basketball and football coach. My students come from several small east Texas communities. These communities are family-oriented and full of hard-working families. Athletics is very important to our students and our community. My students strive to do their best and work hard to succeed. I want my students and athletes to have the materials they need to achieve their goals as individuals in the classroom and as a team.

My Project

With the donation of an Apple iPad to our classroom, my students will have another form of technology to use in our class. The use of technology in the classroom makes learning more exciting, engaging, and meaningful for my students. With the Apple iPad, I will download apps to use for formative assessments, such as Kahoot and Plickers. We will also use the iPad to stream movies for our class.

We will also be able to use the iPad for research activities that we do in my class, along with many assignments.

We will use the projector screen and mount to replace much-needed technology equipment in our room.
