My Students
A typical day starts with a warm welcome from me to my students. Students enter a friendly and welcoming environment. This sets the stage for all students to give their best. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. Together we can meet the demands of the most deserving of children.
My students are primarily low-income students with approximately 90 percent qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch.
Our school is nestled in the heart of the city. At our school we service a large population of Special Education students. Our students have a passion and an eagerness for learning. They are excited about each new school day and what it offers to their intellectual capacity. Students care about each other and are invested in their school community. Many utilize our after school program to help them improve. This is a testament to their strong commitment to their education and their future.
My Project
Making sounds clear in an interactive classroom is essential for task completion. My students are high energy and this is an asset for 21st-century teaching and learning. The materials requested are needed to promote interactive engagement of all students.
The resources requested will allow for not only whole group lessons to be easily taught but for students to be able to work in small group or individually.
New curriculum are primarily internet and or computer-based and all have an audio component to them. Making the classroom 21st century ready is a must to meeting the needs of all students.
