My Project

I'm asking for scientific calculators, headphones, and headphone splitters to make sure my students have easy access to their increasingly digital content. With tests and much of our curricula online, the district ensures every student has access to Chromebooks, but we all know that tech always needs accessories.

These materials will help my students access digital resources and help level the playing field with their peers.

This level of math requires a calculator that has more than five functions, and I hope to have enough for each student on my roster. Calculators like this require batteries! Headphones and headphone splitters allow my students to listen to focusing music during independent work, hear video lessons that have been differentiated for their learning levels, or watch instructional demos when necessary, all without bothering the rest of the class. The cell phone lockers will help us combat learning distractions in all classes across the grade.

It's really amazing how big the impact can be to student morale and motivation when they have the right tools to work with, especially if those materials aren't old, broken, or abused. Something as simple as nice headphones can help students feel some pride in their environment.
