My Students

Remember the days of playing Oregon Trail in the computer lab? Computer time in elementary school has changed dramatically since then with but it's still the highlight of the day for many students. Help us get awesome reading, math, and science games onto our classroom computers!

My students are an amazing group of second graders and they deserve the best!

I teach in a very diverse, high-needs school (71% free/reduced lunch) with extraordinarily dedicated students, families, and staff. Many of my students are learning English as a second language. We teach to the whole child at our school and strongly emphasize building social and emotional skills with our students in addition to taking a rigorous academic approach to teaching.

My Project

Nowadays, students aren't just limited to traveling a dusty road in an Oregon Trail caravan during computer time. Students can explore galactic space, play tic-tac-toe reading games, and learn place value in a haunted house. Help make learning fun by providing my tech-savvy students with highly-engaging math, reading, and science computer games that will prepare them for the future.

Like many of my colleagues, I hope to give my students learning tools and experiences that they might not have otherwise.
