Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Each morning my students are waiting for me at the door with bright smiles on their faces. My goal is to have all of my students to become "kindergarten ready" by the end of the school year.

My pre-kindergarten students are excited and eager to come to school and demonstrate what they have learned and remembered from the previous days of school.

Even though they all come from low-income homes, they do not let that stop them from wanting to learn and grow.

My Project

The tablets will help my students with their reading and writing skills. They will also build up their number recognition and other math skills with the different apps that they can play on the tablets. The students will be able to choose going to the Technology Area during their Work Time. Right now the Technology Area is just an EMPTY TABLE with a sign that says "Technology Area". The tablets that I am requesting will brighten up our classroom and our now non-existent Technology Center in a new and exciting way.

The students will have more choices during their independent work time.

The tablets will not only enhance their technological skills but it will also build math and literacy skills in ways that a human can't do.
