Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Working with a diverse group of students brings me so much joy. Some of my students have special needs, some are English Language Learners, and some of them come from low-income families. Engaging our students is such a challenge. As educators, a high level of engagement should be a priority. The more the students are engaged, the more they learn.
Today’s students grew up in the digital age.
To make sure that the students are getting the most out of every lesson, the content should be presented in a way that the work has a clear meaning and value to our students.
Technology in the classroom allows students to gain a deeper understanding of topics that interest them, collaborate with each other, and direct their learning.
My Project
Incorporating technology in our classroom boost engagement and promote inclusivity by creating multiple pathways for discovery. Today's students love technology so they are sure to be interested in learning if they can use the tools they love. Students are excited about being able to use technology and, therefore, are more apt to learn. Technology helps students take more control over their own learning. The use of the Dell Lap top in our classroom will help our students show their creativity and will help them learn how to make their own decisions and think outside the box. They will use the Dell lap top for research, creating projects, presentations such as PowerPoint and videos. The extra feature of the Dell Lap top will make it more fun and interesting for our students to use, thus the students will be more inspired to create projects that will show their creativity and innovativeness.
