Help me give my students new iPads. Our current iPads are 8 years old. They do not have microphone capabilities and do not update the apps are no longer updated to support our current model of iPads.
In first grade, students typically transition from singing the ABC's to reading entire books! We offer our kids the best opportunities to be real-world ready when they leave each grade, no matter the socioeconomic background they have. Our classroom is a place for kindness, learning, courage, respect, friendship, and more!

My students need iPads to enrich their reading and math along with allowing them to learn about events occurring around the world. My students are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and inquirers. They are many inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don’t know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientist, entrepreneurs, and teachers… and so much more!
My Project
We are planning to use these iPads during our literacy and math rotations to allow our students to listen to fluent readers, practice reading fluency, and math enrichment apps. These devices will give the students access to online components of our current math curriculum. We will be using these devices to support Project Lead the Way, STEAM, International Baccalaureate units of study, and computer programming. We will use RAZ kids for reading fluency and allows the children to be assigned appropriate reading for their developmental level. Students will also use the EveryDay math apps to reinforce the skills they are learning through the curriculum.
