Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from various backgrounds, which is one amazing thing--some of my families came to NYC from Africa, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The parents are dedicated to their child's education and try their best to ensure that school is the top priority.
Each day, my intelligent kindergarteners enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and grow their minds through reading, writing, and experiential learning.
They love to learn and are at the stage where they are decoding words using all they have learned so far in kindergarten. This is one of the most rewarding times in the year.
My Project
Majority of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and don’t have access to technology at home. As a digitally advanced world we need to work together to provide opportunities for students to have equitable access to the world.
My school has various online learning programs and the students all have logins but only get a chance to use it on our old computer.
This project will help allow more students to use technology at a time and support us in creating a manageable schedule for all students to use technology to supplement their classroom learning. Help us make access to tech easier.
