These kids want to embrace learning and use every opportunity to enrich their education. Our school is a Title I school and the majority of the population at our school speaks another language. My kindergarten students not only have to learn to read but also have to learn another language. As a school we strive to enhance each child's opportunity to be successful. We pull from all our resources available, whether it's materials to different educators, to help all students.
My Project
These two new Dell laptops and the MS office software will add technology to our classroom. Currently our computers work about half the time so some new computers would enhance learning in the classroom. The computers will allow students to do reading activities to enhance their vocabulary and knowledge on certain topics. The new computers will enhance math and writing knowledge by allowing children to do age appropriate activities to help prepare them for first grade. The headphones will allow all children to learn without distractions. They allow us the teachers to continue with reading groups during center time when students are on the computer. Incorporating technology in the classroom allows all students to learn, be them visual, auditory, reading/writing, or kinesthetic learners.
