Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Documentation Station and Digital Portfolios.
Students make art.
I snap a picture of their creation. I throw it into a Google Drive.
Now what?
These 4 Lenovo Tablets would provide opportunities for students to document and upload their artwork into online portfolios. Along with photographs of their work, written artist statements can be attached to the artwork to give the background to inspiration, challenges, material use, etc.
But just how far can we take it?
Can these portfolios be used as a collection of process and progress growing as artists throughout their elementary years?
Can the photographs of their work be uploaded to Artsonia where their families can purchase a coaster with their child's art on it?
Can the artist statements turn into a review video where the artist welcomes a view into their world through spoken word vs written word?
The answer to all of the above questions is yes.
