Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an amazing group of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds. 100% of our students receive free lunch and a third of the students speak a language other than English at home. The students have limited experiences outside the classroom walls. They have limited exposure to current academic materials and often utilize used and donated supplies. They have limited access to cultural and extra-curricular activities as well. The children are eager learners just waiting for the right tools to help them succeed. Please help a great group of children soar high to reach their full potential!
My Project
By providing four Fire tablets with covers, it will make a major impact on the student learning in my classroom. Currently, there is a multitude of learning applications made specifically for tablets out there. Without classroom access to these devices, my students cannot benefit from the wealth of opportunities the world of learning apps has to offer.
My students are anxious to access the world of math and science through educational apps.
With these four tablets, students can rotate through small groups and use applications to improve their skills and complete research and enhancement assignments. The world of learning will open up before them and they will increase their number of classroom resources.
With your help, my students will able to soar to new heights and realize no limitations in the world of technology. They will be able to see that tech truly is for all!
