Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Even though computers are more affordable now than in the past, they are still out of reach for many families. Now add all the basic "extras" for computers and you have spent a small fortune! Donors at Donors Choose have donated a laptop to our class, but now we need software and speakers.

I work in a Title 1 school with mostly English Learners.

My children enjoy the use of technology and are motivated by opportunities to work with computers and other devices which make learning more like a game than a formal process. My students are savvy, smart, and deserving of technology in the classroom.

My Project

Donors at Donors Choose gave us a laptop and (hopefully) some e-readers for our class and now we need some basic accessories to best use them in class. We need word processing software to publish our writing. We need speakers to hear the animated lesson that come with our textbook series.

Without the essential accessories, we can't use computers and e-readers in the classroom effectively.

Thank you so much to the donors for your consideration. I appreciate your help in bringing the 21st century into our classroom.
