Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Have you ever been on a team or joined a club? Do you remember how it felt to wear your uniform or club t-shirt? I am hoping to provide each of my fifth grade students with a t-shirt to create unity for our year-end events and celebrations.

Our fifth graders work hard all year to prepare for middle school, and these t-shirts will mark their transition from elementary school to the next chapter in their lives.

I am requesting t-shirts for tie-dyeing, so my students can actively design and create class t-shirts that our fifth graders will proudly wear during hands-on, project-based activities like Field Day and other special events.

In addition, I am seeking pencil pouches for students to organize and store materials in their subject binders, glow sticks for an interactive, glow-in-the-dark review session before testing, and STEM Science Kits for hands-on building projects. I’m also requesting staplers for our student self-help center, and table covers to support two key activities: covering tables for tie-dyeing and our final room transformation of the year, Camp Read-A-Lot. For this project, students will use the table covers to build tents at their 'campsites,' engaging in both creative and collaborative learning.

With your help, I will have the resources to provide memorable, hands-on activities for our children and 'team up' to show class spirit.
