My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds. A majority of them come from low income homes. They rely on having a safe and comfortable environment to learn in. My class is made up of students who are on different grade levels academically and need learning that is catered to them.

These students are resilient and do not give up easily.

They work hard and enjoy learning. These students are curious and love to engage in math activities. My students enjoy completing hands-on math activities, but their lack of math fact fluency sometimes hinders them.

My Project

Math fluency is so vital to the math education of a child. Our school includes students from low income homes. They do not always have access to educational materials at their house. These students need practice and repetition in order to master their math facts.

Multiplication flashcards will not only help my students master their math facts, but they will encourage families to be more involved in their children's education.

Students will be able to work with families in order to increase their math fact fluency. When they are more confident with their math facts, students will be more successful in later years with math.
