Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are fun and energetic, and love authentic and hands-on experiences. This is the type of atmosphere that I strive to provide for my students every day. We love to dance and move and be hands-on with learning. My goal is that I will be able to provide each of my students with a meaningful and memorable experience in third grade. In order to do that, I need a classroom that has the materials my students need to learn.

My Project

My students use technology to create and learn almost every day. I want to dive deeper into their learning by using an Apple TV to guide them on their projects. With an Apple TV, I will be able to project the screen of an iPad so that my students can see it. This will allow them to follow along and learn techniques that would be tricky to teach otherwise.

Creating 21st Century learners is so vitally important to me.

Skills they learn now, not only teach them the particular thing they are learning, but teach them how to learn and adapt. I want to give my students the tools and experience necessary to become successful outside of my classroom too.
