Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am Pre K teacher who is lucky enough to work with the sweetest group of children this year. In our classroom, you will find students with big dreams and an array of personalities. The students are passionate learners who invest themselves in their lessons. In our class, we all consider each other family and we love and support each other. My students build each other up and celebrate the growth and accomplishments of their peers. The love can be felt in our classroom.

Our classroom has a large number of students who learn best through touch and visual learning.

We are expanding on our STEAM learning this year and making learning through purposeful play our number one goal. We need your help to build us our access to a variety of learning tools and games that will spark creativity.

My Project

In our pre k classroom we learn by touching, building, experimenting, and using our creativity. We learn though a STEAM driven model of teaching where the students guide the direction of the lesson and take responsibility for solving problems. The students also love using Lakeshore learning materials to play in a way that builds their literacy and math foundation skills.

The use of a color printer in the classroom will allow the teacher to prepare hands on learning games that will be visually attractive.

Having a printer that is ECO friendly and affordable to refill will see that the printer is highly used and the students will stay stimulated as the teacher continues to add materials to the classroom.

The addition of the STEAM related books allows us to hook the students into a lesson by reading a book that drives their desire to become an engineer or other given STEAM related career geared person. We realize many of their future jobs have yet to be created. Providing real opportunities to solve problems through trial and error will best prepare them for their bright futures ahead!
