This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being someone that wears glasses, I know firsthand what it's like not to have them on to see objects at a distance. My students give me the same "squinty eyed" look when I try to show them something off of my iPad. The small screen limits my ability to share my love of teaching with technology.

I teach at an inner-city public school with high poverty and diversity.

Most of my students don't have a computer, laptop or iPad at home. Therefore, I feel it's so important that I teach them the vitality of learning through technology and allowing them to explore the outside world.

My Project

With the use of a projector in my classroom, I can display student work, stream lessons wirelessly and truly integrate, transmit and project student learning. I have made an abundance of PowerPoint presentations that I would like to be able to share with my students. I would like to turn my classroom ideas into a reality and engage my students in the 21st Century of technology.

With your donation, it will truly make a difference in the world of my student's appreciation for learning.

Technology to them is "fun" and isn't looked at as learning. When you're doing something you enjoy, you don't consider it work! I plan on using and integrating technology in my classroom for the rest of my teaching career.
