Ms. Pierre from Detroit MI is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need access to technology. Having 4 tablets will help my students explore resources and join the global society of learners that will bridge the digital gap.

Sharing a computers with sixty students is very challenging. My math innovators are required to use technology to create stories, explain mathematical strategy in group settings and individual projects. Having access to four tablets for my groups will make classwork and projects easier to do.
In this corner of Michigan, we are undergoing a dramatic change in our community.
Supplies and technology budgets have become bare bones with more cut backs in store. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch because we are in a high poverty area of the city. So, it is an American imperative that students get a chance to experience a variety of technology based educational resources. That is precisely the reason I try to infuse a sense of community everyday activity. Every year I have a theme. This year my fourth graders are American Innovators. These students are two sections of mathematical explorers that thrive on hands-on activities, gadgets and any technology they can grasp with their little hands. In order to create future inventors and mathematicians we must engage children with new and creative uses for technology. These tablets will add spark to group lessons and make projects simpler. Having extra access to online resources will encourage students
Our American Innovators need you to share your patriotic spirit and guiding hands to make access to Internet resources to this math class possible. Mathematics can be challenging but, having these tablets will open the door to a wider world of understanding and creativity. Innovation can be a seed that has been planted by one individual or a nation dedicated to making the world a better place for our future generations. Please donate and support to this project.
It is imperative to our country that we equip our young citizens for a future that will be technology driven.
Our children deserve the opportunity to bridge the digital gap. Your donation will upload the encouragement and inspiration that will fuel our American Innovators to explore new creative expressions and academic acceleration. We thank you for support the future of America and the spirit of innovation that we have always pursued.
