My Students

My students attend a middle school in an area with a high poverty rate. I, therefore, work as hard as I can to make school a safe and exciting learning space for my students.

I love that my students can teach me as much as I can teach them.

All of my students come from different backgrounds and cultures and they find a way to teach me something new everyday. Our classroom has implemented blended and personalized learning to meet the needs of all of our learners. During the blended stations, I teach small reading groups. This is where the students can read, grow, and thrive at their own level.

My Project

My students learn best when they are working in small groups. This table will allow my students to meet and collaborate with each other but also with the teacher. It provides a work space where everyone can see each other and can learn from one another! This large table also provides enough space for all students. The table I am currently using is only comfortable for about 3 students. This provides a greater opportunity for more students to learn at a time.

My students also love to have choice and comfort in their seating options.

Having these new ball seats with backs are a change up from regular seating options. They are also a great motivator for students to do their work and try their best when they work in small groups.
