I teach in a self-contained classroom full of bright, exceptional children. These children attend a Title 1 high-school in North Carolina. Even though these children are from a poor community their love for one another and others is so rich.
These children always walk into my classroom excited to begin the day- there is never a dull moment in our class!
We love reading together and learning from one another.
My classroom is a 'home' for many of my students- usually more like 'home' than their actual residence. For this reason, I strive to do my very best in providing my students with both their educational needs as well as their mental and physical needs. I am so thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful group of ladies and gentlemen in my classroom that love me as much as I do them!
My Project
My students are fighting amongst other students who, like them, have not been taught proper social skills, mannerisms, and are often times fighting against pedagogical issues in today's society. It is my job and my passion to provide my students with as much knowledge about life and the world as I possibly can so that when they leave they have a true sense of what life is like outside the school system.
We are learning about money, civil justice, social skills, doing what is right, having enterprise skills and so much more.
Please help me to continue preparing my students for real-life with these materials! They can never be too prepared for the worlds in which we live in today. Thank you in advance!
