This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a self-contained kindergarten class. My student population consists of students with an autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.

Working with this population can be difficult, but it is super rewarding within this environment.

I teach the most interesting, caring, well-behaved scholars ever. My school is a student-centered environment filled with world-class teachers. As a team, we are continuously brainstorming ways to evolve as educators, and we are also advocates for family involvement in the learning process.

My Project

As we have now transitioned to virtual learning, teachers are using the computer constantly! This can be a lot on an old computer which, is exactly what I have. When the coronavirus pandemic began, I, like most teachers, were caught completely by surprise! The transition from face to face to online was a huge strain and showed in many ways. Originally, I had a district computer assigned to me for work that I was able to use, however, it recently stopped working After this, I began using my own personal computer and have been doing so ever since.

Since I've been using my personal computer so much I've been downloading new applications, saving so many new documents, and downloading a lot from the internet.

Lately, I began experiencing some crashes and issues with my computer and I know I've had it for many years so, it is time for a new one. A new computer would literally save my life and help lift a huge weight off of my shoulders!
