I need to attend a 2-day Teach Your Heart Out conference in San Diego, California on March 27 and 28th.

My Students

In the reading room, my students do more than learn foundational reading skills. They learn to ask questions about Amazon dart frogs and orcas. They practice writing code in code.org on Google Classroom Fridays. They look forward to virtual reality field trips to the moon.

They share their imaginative designs for straw bridges and Pac Man escape plans.

They are selected to receive intervention services from the reading room if they are performing at the lowest 25th percentile in our school, but they are the most deserving of vast learning opportunities and exploration. My hope is that I provide that for them!

My Project

Teach Your Heart Out's mission is to provide rigorous, meaningful, research based strategies all while inspiring and rejuvenating educators. I plan to share this experience with my school through my own implementation of the best practices being shared with colleagues on site.

I am ready to learn from the top educators in areas of collaboration, diversity, rigor, and engagement.

I consider myself a lifelong learner. I love to attend professional developments and flip that information back to my colleagues and students. Collective teacher efficacy is at the heart of student success and this event pushes the power of teacher collaboration in order to benefit achievement. Attending a Teach Your Heart Out conference will reinvigorate my passion with new strategies and teacher connections.
