My Students

My students are fun to talk to and make class discussions interesting. Like any other middle school student they are interested in technology and how they can utilize their resources to improve their knowledge of the world around them. If they are given a task that involves technology they are all in and ready to show their creative side. I love that they want to explore and find new information and are so proficient. They are definitely ready for the world around them and all the challenges they may face.

My Project

I am moving into unchartered territory because of the school shutdowns. We are continuing to educate children in a different way for the remainder of the year, but I am not sure I have the resources to effectively deliver the material. I would like to be able to send my students videos of the lessons in a clear and understandable manner. However, I only have a PC a limited ability to record, as well as, very poor internet.

I plan to show my students how to build cubes, pyramids, find surface area, volume, create shapes and understand how to use formulas .

I want to be able to show my kids how I use math around the farm and apply the concepts we are studying in our geometry units.

With the proper technology, I believe this will be an exciting time to be a teacher and student. I can deliver a quality education all while being at home and my students will never miss a beat as we close out this year from a distance.
