My classroom is a 6:1:1 classroom located in Brooklyn with students with varying forms of Autism Spectrum Disorders. My students have expressed high interest in obtaining a fish and growing plants within my classroom. Each child is learning how to take care of selected plants and fish and this would allow them to master those skills.

Since the first day of school when I brought into class our class fish, my students have expressed high interest in taking care of more fish within our classroom. Also they have expressed interest in taking care of plants and seeing the results. Being a classroom located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn my students do not always have the opportunity to do this type of stuff at home. These supplies would change their lives!

To dramatically change my students everyday school life they would need the following items: 1 Bottom Filter Aquarium Set 5 packages of Aquarium Gravel 2 bottles Start Right Liquid 2 Lamp for Strip or Hood of 20 Gallon Aquarium 1 Butterfly Garden 1 Butterfly Farm Rearing Kit 1 The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body 1 The Magic School Bus Lost in the Solar System 1 The Magic School Bus on the Ocean Floor 1 The Magic School Bus Inside the Earth 1 The Magic School Bus Inside a Beehive 1 The Magic School Bus in the Time of the Dinosaurs 1 The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses 1 The Magic School Bus Inside a Hurricane 1 The Magic School Bus at the Waterworks 3 Packages of Sunflower Seeds 4 Bags of Soil Potting with Seed Starter 2 Desert Hot House Each of the above listed item serves a purpose in educating my students who have Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have first hand experiences that have led me to believe that my students would thoroughly enjoy each object and that it can change their life in a positive manner. Some of the listed materials would provide my students with a foundation to high quality life skills which is something that is highly important!
