Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Due to our current pandemic, we have resorted to distance learning in order to maintain some type of academic instruction. As you can imagine, this has been a difficult transition, and, more importantly, it has taken a toll on my 1st grade students. My students lack the technology to access our online materials, so the next best thing they have access to is pencil and paper. That's about it!
My Project
Teaching from home has been a difficult transition, especially when I don't have materials. With no notice, our school closed the doors, and I did not have the supplies or resources to gather basic materials to help me teach from home.
I am in need of supplies such as markers, dry erase markers, erasers, and storage to help teach from home.
With these materials, I can record math and spelling lessons and upload them for students to watch at home. These materials will also help me conduct math and literacy lessons on our live Zoom meeting platform. The clipboard will allow me to track my students' progress and needs as I plan and organize future lessons.
