Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am seeking funding for chart paper and plain photocopy paper. Working in a small middle school in East Harlem has its own unique set of challenges each day. A teacher expects this when deciding to teach in this environment. A challenge that our staff faces (that was unexpected) is the lack of access to vital resources. Thankfully when the staff was not given ample access to a Xerox machine, one was generously donated from DonorsChoose. Now, the director has placed all paper in the main office and once again making copies FOR OUR STUDENTS' LESSONS has become a confrontation (and headache!). Chart paper is used by all teachers to make posters, list important information, and take notes during class time. We are completely out. As of now, none has been ordered. HELP! Teaching is a wonderful and gratifying profession, yet without materials a rigorous job becomes filled with frustration. Thank you for helping to facilitate the teaching of our students on a daily basis.
