This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of us take for granted the little things in life, staples, push pins, paper, but for our classroom, these little things can really add up.

My students are low-income, high risk students who love school and learning.

They come from diverse backgrounds and cultures and speak over 8 home languages. Despite the challenges in learning English and their socio-economic level, they a love learning about the world.

My Project

I'm asking for basic supplies that help keep our classroom running. These supplies are not provided by our school and generally come out of my pocket. They are things like post-its, staples and push pins. We use them constantly, all day long to do our work. We need staples to staple papers together, pushpins to pin work to the walls, printer cartridges to print reports, whiteboard markers to do our daily work on dry erase boards. The magnetic trays will help display books and writing. It's the little things that add up to big ideas in our room!

This project is important because it helps keep our classroom running smoothly.
